My Father [[Bateman Haight Wilhelm]] was Born in Cayuga Co New York. Nov 14th 1843. his Father John Benjamin died when he was 8 years old. Leaving his Mother a widow. There was a Family of six Children Two died in Infancy. John and Elizabeth. and the Eldest son James went of to work. sent word to his mother that he had got his wages and was coming home.
